چکیده
This study intends to evaluate the possible correlation between dimension (DC) and seismic moment rate for different late Quaternary active fault data, shallow crustal earthquakes, GPS on island of Sumatra Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA). The seismicity smoothing was applied estimate DC faults (DF) earthquake data (DE) then correlate that with b-value, which will be used identify hazard functions (SHF) along Fault Zone (SFZ). based calculated by is estimated pre-seismic horizontal surface displacement data. DF, DE, b-value analyzed, a reasonable two seismotectonic parameters, DF-b, DE-b, respectively, could found. relatively high coincides model derived from Furthermore, SHF curve total probability exceedance versus mean each observation point’s peak ground acceleration (PGA) shows SHF. results this might very beneficial mitigation in future.

Seismicity of Batubesi Dam at Sorowako Region Based on Earthquake Data and Microtremor Measurement
Batubesi Dam which is located in Sorowako region in the middle part of Sulawesi island had been designed with seismic coefficient about 0.20g. The region constitutes an active earthquake zone with the recurrence frequency and magnitude of the earthquake are relatively high. The region is located on and active fault zone due to lateral fault movement (strike-slip) of Matano fault, Palukoro fault...
متن کاملSeismic Fault Rheology and Earthquake Dynamics
As preparation for this Dahlem Workshop on The Dynamics of Fault Zones, specifically on the subtopic “Rheology of Fault Rocks and Their Surroundings,” we addressed critical research issues for understanding the seismic response of fault zones in terms of the constitutive response of fault materials. This requires new concepts and a host of new observations and experiments to document material r...

The 14 November 2000, Ms8.1 Kokoxili earthquake is of huge influence in the world, which ruptured more than 400 km of the western end of the left-lateral Kunlun fault. The Kunlun fault is active and also after the heavy earthquake, it will definitely undergo an adjusting and balancing process. SAR Intereferometry (INSAR) is an effective measure for crustal deformation measurement even for minor...
متن کاملEstimated Annual Effective Doses of Radon in Springs and Qanats Nearby Kouhbanan Active Fault System; Iran
The presence of radon in drinking water causes health risks associated with exposure from both inhalation and ingestion. Since the studies show that faults near the water resources have a critical effect on the concentration of radon, Kouhbanan active fault zone, to find water resources with high radon concentration was chosen for the following investigation. Water samples were taken from all ...
متن کاملPoisson model for earthquake frequency uncertainties in seismic hazard analysis
Frequency-magnitude distributions, and their associated uncertainties, are of key importance in statistical seismology. When fitting these distributions , the assumption of Gaussian residuals is invalid since event numbers are both discrete and of unequal variance. In general, the observed number in any given magnitude range is described by a binomial distribution which, given a large total num...
